Nice shot !

Did you want only the eye in focus ?
Personally, I would have liked it better with the beak less blurry.
Maybe with a shutter speed at 1/200 second, and F/11 to have more DOF ?

May I ask wich 300 mm lens you use ?

I have a Canon 350D, I think that's the one called "Rebel" in North America.
And I have a 70-300 f4-5,6 zoom that I'm not happy with...it needs too much light.
